Merit Badges

Below is a list, in alphabetical order, of all of the current merit badge subjects. Click each subject to see the requirements for that merit badge on Scouting.org.

To order merit badge booklets, visit The Scout Shop or Amazon.com. Merit badge worksheets are available at USScouts.org.

To start a merit badge, you must first get permission from the Scoutmaster by asking for a Blue Card. Next you must find a registered merit badge counselor. If a counselor is not available within the troop, ask the Scoutmaster to contact the district merit badge dean. Once you complete the merit badge, the counselor will sign the Blue Card and keep the counselor’s portion. You will receive and keep the Applicant’s portion for your records, and you will give the Troop’s Advancement Chair the Troop copy.
